【ATTENTION】 There have recently been a large number of reports to the regional Bureaus of Immigration across Japan regarding suspicious phone calls where the caller claims to be an Immigration officer. Please be aware that neither Japanese Immigration nor its regional Bureau offices will ever ask for someone to transfer money to an account over the phone.
