My Number Health Insurance Certificate！
国際交流センター*Even if you don't yet have a my number card, you can continue to receive medical care as usual.
As of December 2, 2024 new health insurance cards will no longer be issued rather you will be able to use your my number card as a health insurance certificate. But please don’t worry even if you have not yet applied for a my number card you can still can receive medical treatment with a health insurance enrollment certificate that can be delivered without the need for application. In addition, health insurance cards that were valid as of December 2, 2024 can continue to be used for up to one year. (Even if your card expires, a health insurance enrollment certificate can be issued to those who need it).
Those who do not yet have a My Number Card
No application is required; you we will be sent an eligibility certificate.
Those who have recently become elderly
No application is required; you we will be sent an eligibility certificate.
*Before the end of July 2025
Those who have difficulty receiving medical treatment using their my number card (elderly people, people with disabilities, etc.). Can apply for a health insurance enrollment certificate.
There area many benefits to enrolling your my number card as health insurance card system. Including receiving better medical care that is based on your personal medical history.
So please consider enrolling as soon as possible.
