34th Annual Okaya English Speech Contest!

The 34th Okaya English Speech Contest will be held on Sunday, December 14th, 2025 at the Suwako Heights Convention Hall.

• Junior High School Division: starts at 10:00 AM
• High School Division: starts at 2:00 PM

The contest is open to all high school students who either live in Okaya or attend a school in the Suwa area.

Your speech may be on any topic, but it must not exceed 5 minutes.
(Junior high school students: please write speeches of at least 470 words.)

Those who wish to participate must apply by Tuesday, October 21st.
Both an English and Japanese copy of your speech must then be submitted by Tuesday, November 18th, by email to the Okaya International Center. (Please submit your files in Microsoft Word format.)
