{"id":1629,"date":"2025-09-30T13:26:32","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T04:26:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oiea.jp\/en\/?p=1629"},"modified":"2025-09-30T13:26:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T04:26:35","slug":"34th-annual-okaya-english-speech-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oiea.jp\/en\/34th-annual-okaya-english-speech-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"34th Annual Okaya English Speech Contest!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 34th Okaya English Speech Contest will be held on <strong>Sunday, December 14th, 2025<\/strong> at the <strong>Suwako Heights Convention Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Junior High School Division<\/strong>: starts at 10:00 AM<\/li><li><strong>High School Division<\/strong>: starts at 2:00 PM<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The contest is open to all high school students who either live in Okaya or attend a school in the Suwa area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your speech may be on any topic, but it must not exceed <strong>5 minutes<\/strong>.<br>(<em>Junior high school students: please write speeches of at least 470 words.<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who wish to participate must apply by <strong>Tuesday, October 21st<\/strong>.<br>Both an English and Japanese copy of your speech must then be submitted by <strong>Tuesday, November 18th<\/strong>, by email to the Okaya International Center.
